Be sure and check your config archive to ensure it provides what you want. When we did the same for a 4402 WLC, then config that was archived was essentially the 'show run-config' output. This is very different from, and much less complete than, the XML file generated by doing a config backup via the controller's web interface. Since we use WCS I did not test anything further, but I would urge you to ensure that the archive provides you with the recoverability that you need (or that you know what other pieces you need to ensure the full recovery of a failed/dead controller).
Hi Hafiz, Kindly let me know how you are adding device to CiscoWorks LMS 2.6. As a best practise, when you will add new device to CiscoWorks, you should not select. Chaps, This is a new install of LMS 3.2 with the Campus Manager patched to 5.2.1. I'm unable to install any new device updates, if I use the GUI and Check for Updates.

No package(s) to install for CiscoView. Hi, I installed Ciscoview 5.4 and RME 3.4 in the same Windows 2000 Server. However, when i activate the Import Device list for CiscoView from RME in the CiscoWorks 2000 server, it always give me this error 'Device Import Software is not present on this server' Possible cause 'Possible due to mistyping of host/port or Device List Software is missing' I have checked ciscoview and RME installed packages. Admin Panel Template In Php. It shows that they both have the same list of supported devices. Has anyone encountered this problem before?
Whats is this device list software. Since it is a WAN link you would not want to have CDP enabled on the interface facing the WAN. Also being a WAN link your service provider is definitely not going to pass through those cdp advertisements. You would need to enter the device manually in your seed file for it to be discoverd. Server Config AniServer admin discovery settings add seed device, or alternately you could go to your CSCO partition /etc/cwsi/aniserver.prop file and manually enter in the device where it says Discovery Seed =. I'm having a problem adding WISM modules to CiscoWorks.

It does not affect the DCR (all DCR device management is performed from the Common Services home page).
