Aabeta was an individual project which later gathered a few collaborators. The originator already stopped releasing updates. His collaborators continued to develop RS3 and named it as bokuno and til date is still being updated.

Difference is that aabeta originally already had a class system, costume, combined tech, mystic absorption skills and mech while bokuno didn't start out with these despite the split.
